• Full Garden Makeover – Drainage, Retaining Walls & Sandstone Slabbing

his project involved a full garden transformation to improve drainage, stabilise the ground and create a clean, usable outdoor space. The existing garden suffered from poor water management and uneven levels, so the entire area was stripped back and reworked.

We raised the ground levels to match the neighbouring gardens on both sides, creating a consistent and practical layout. New block-on-flat retaining walls were constructed to hold the new levels, finished with a full K Rend render system and silicone top coat for a modern, durable and weather-resistant surface.

A large soakaway was installed along with a full herringbone-pattern French drain system to manage water run-off efficiently. A discreet full-width ACO channel was also integrated into the layout to collect surface water and direct it away from the main patio area.

Once the structural and drainage works were complete, we installed a 100m² sandstone patio on a compacted sub-base, forming clean falls and accurate slab alignment for a high-quality finish.

The result is a fully upgraded outdoor space with stable levels, modern finishes, and a comprehensive drainage system designed for long-term performance.
